Vision, Mission and Values

Eaton College is part of the Calvary Education Group (CEG). The CEG is a ministry arm of Calvary Christian Church that began its journey in the January of 1978 with the launch of Calvary Christian College in Townsville, North Queensland.

The CEG consists of the Calvary Early Learning Centre, Calvary Christian College (P-12), Calvary Teaching School (in partnership with Christian Heritage College, Brisbane) and Eaton College (P-10 specifically for students with ASD). Eaton College, which will open its doors in 2023, is part of an expanding educational ministry arm of Calvary Christian Church.

Our Guiding Philosophy

Eaton College exists to provide a unique educational opportunity for children with autism spectrum disorder, enabling them to discover and develop their God-given individuality and unique abilities.

We seek to partner with families to inspire our students to flourish as the people that God intended them to be, and to become an influence for good in their world.

Vision

Our vision is to graduate young people of strong Christian character who will become an influence for good in their world.

Mission

Our mission is to provide excellent opportunities for young people to develop Christian character and grow to their full potential intellectually, physically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.

Luke 2:52 'And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men.'

Values

Eaton College has five key values which guide everything we do. We seek to inculcate these values in every student at the College.

The five key values come from Jesus’ commendation to the wise stewards in Matthew 25:21 – 'Well done, good and faithful servant.'

WE VALUE EXCELLENCE (“WELL”)

We encourage students to achieve by continually doing the very best they can with God’s help –
'They said of Jesus: He does all things well.'  (Mark 7:37).

WE VALUE PERSISTENCE (“DONE”)

We encourage students to develop the resilience and confidence to overcome challenges –
'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.' (Philippians 4:13).

WE VALUE HUMILITY (“GOOD”)

We encourage students to respect and value others –
'Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.' (1 Peter 5:6).

WE VALUE FAITH (“FAITHFUL”)

We encourage students to develop obedience to God’s Word and trust in His faithfulness –
'The just shall live by faith.' (Romans 1:17).

WE VALUE GENEROSITY (“SERVANT”)

We encourage students to see their gifts and talents as opportunities to glorify God as they serve others –  'A generous man devises generous things and by generosity he shall stand.' (Isaiah 32:8).
